HOUSTON, Texas (TXAN 24) — The Houston Cougars have officially kicked off fall camp — and they’re doing it in style. Despite ongoing construction, the team moved into the brand-new Memorial Hermann Football Operations Center on Monday, getting a first glimpse at completed spaces like the locker room and weight room.

Head Coach Willie Fritz, now entering Year 2 at the helm, expressed gratitude to the donors who made the state-of-the-art facility possible. The move marks a major milestone for a program with high expectations heading into the 2025 season.

The Cougars’ season opener is set for August 28 at 7 p.m. against Stephen F. Austin inside TDECU Stadium. With a stacked home slate that includes Colorado, Texas Tech, Arizona, West Virginia, and TCU, excitement is building in H-Town.
Fans can secure their spot for as low as $150 with full season ticket packages or opt for a two-game mini plan starting at $85 — which includes a ticket to the high-profile Colorado matchup.

Supporters are also encouraged to join the “46ers” and “The Huddle” donor programs to help fund football operations beyond the traditional budget.
