Trinity School of Midland Looks To Light Up The Scoreboard Again After 100 Points Last Week

FORT WORTH, Texas (TXAN 24) — The Trinity Chargers head into Friday night looking to carry last week’s offensive explosion into another victory as they open TAPPS Six-Man Division I District 1 play against Temple Christian.
Trinity enters the matchup at 3-2 after defeating Buena Vista 100-78 on Sept. 25. The Chargers erupted offensively after scoring just 18 points in their previous game against Grady.

The Chargers will face a Temple Christian team that also enters at 3-2. The Eagles opened the season with three consecutive wins before dropping their last two games, including a 64-50 loss to Cornerstone Christian on Sept. 25.
Temple has shown plenty of offensive firepower, averaging 187 rushing yards and 225.7 passing yards per game entering Friday’s matchup.
The game gives Trinity an opportunity to begin district play with momentum. Friday’s matchup is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Temple Christian School in Fort Worth.

With both teams sitting at 3-2, the winner will move to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in district play.
For Trinity, the challenge will be carrying over the offensive production from last week’s 100-point performance while slowing an Eagles offense that has shown it can produce points of its own.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
