DALLAS, Texas (TXAN 24) — Texas ranks seventh nationally for Gen Z digital advertising opportunity, with more than 2.17 million residents between the ages of 20 and 24 and internet coverage reaching 96.74%, according to a new 50-state analysis by TrafficJunky.

The study gives Texas a Gen Z population share of 6.95%, placing the state among the top 10 markets for advertisers seeking to reach younger consumers online.

Texas ranks ahead of neighboring Oklahoma, which placed 10th, and well above Arkansas at 36th and Louisiana at 39th.

Utah leads the national ranking, followed by North Dakota and Massachusetts. Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa also made the top six, putting several central U.S. states ahead of Texas.

The findings point to the scale of Texas’ potential digital audience. With more than 2.17 million people in the study’s 20-to-24 age group, the state offers advertisers a sizable population to reach through online campaigns.

The ranking measures potential advertising opportunity based on population share and internet coverage. It does not measure actual advertising spending, consumer purchasing behavior or campaign performance.
