PALESTINE, Texas (TXAN 24) — The search continues for “Hondo,” a missing K9 officer from Palestine, Texas, as officials and community members rally for his safe return.
Hondo, a German Shepherd who is microchipped, disappeared recently, and concerns are growing that he may have been taken. In a statement posted to social media, organizers stressed that a reward is now being offered for information leading to Hondo’s return — with “no questions asked.”
Palestine Police are urging the public to keep watch for the K9 and report any sightings immediately.
Anyone who spots Hondo is asked to contact the Palestine Police Department at 903-729-2254.
Support for Hondo’s return has been overwhelming, with residents across East Texas sharing his photo and details in hopes of bringing him home.
Authorities remind the public that because Hondo is microchipped, veterinary clinics and animal control facilities can confirm his identity if he is found.
