TYLER, Texas (TXAN 24) — Jury service in Texas is open to citizens who are at least 18, reside in the county where they’re summoned, are of sound mind and moral character, can read and write, and haven’t recently served.

People with certain convictions or under indictment for theft or a felony are not eligible.

Courts draw jurors from voter registration and driver license lists.
