Investigation Underway After Student Left on School Bus All Day

BELL COUNTY, Texas (TXAN 24) — Authorities are investigating after a young student was reportedly left unattended on a school bus for the entire school day in Central Texas.

Officials with the Belton Independent School District say the child was discovered hours later and is now safe. The incident has raised serious concerns about student safety protocols and staff oversight.

District leaders say they are reviewing transportation procedures and could implement additional safeguards to prevent similar incidents.

Parents in the district are calling for accountability as the investigation continues.
