Dallas Wings Cruise Past Los Angeles Sparks 97-77

ARLINGTON, Texas (TXAN 24) — The Dallas Wings returned from the FIBA Women’s World Cup break in dominant fashion Thursday night, defeating the Los Angeles Sparks 97-77 at College Park Center for their fifth consecutive victory.

Paige Bueckers led Dallas with 19 points, while Jessica Shepard delivered another standout performance with 13 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists for her fifth triple-double of the season.

The Wings and Sparks were tied 44-44 at halftime, but Dallas took control after the break. A 12-0 run spanning the third-quarter break helped push the Wings ahead 74-58 before Dallas pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Maddy Siegrist added 12 points, while Arike Ogunbowale finished with 11. Kitija Laksa and Aziaha James each contributed 10 points off the bench.
