FT. WORTH, Texas (TXAN 24) — The momentum keeps building in Fort Worth as the No. 8 TCU Horned Frogs took care of business against the UIW Cardinals on Wednesday night, delivering another performance in front of their home crowd at Schollmaier Arena.

TCU controlled the pace from the opening tip, using aggressive defense and efficient scoring to establish an early lead they never surrendered.

Marta Suarez led the way with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Donovyn Hunter added a game and career high 21 points to help TCU extend its unbeaten start to the season. The Horned Frogs’ depth once again proved to be a weapon, with contributions coming from across the rotation.

UIW battled to stay within reach but struggled to break through TCU’s defensive pressure and consistent scoring. UIW’s Borgstadt’s career high 16 points offered a lift, but the Cardinals couldn’t close the gap.

With the win, TCU improves to 9-0, 30th home game winning streaking— for 2nd most in NCAA, continuing its climb and reinforcing why they’re ranked inside the top eight nationally.

The Horned Frogs now turn their attention to UTEP on Saturday, looking to keep their undefeated strong start rolling.
