DALLAS, Texas (TXAN 24) — Thousands of families gathered in downtown Dallas for the sixth annual Trick-or-Treating in the Park, a free Halloween celebration featuring activities for children and families.

Presented by Kroger, the event transformed Klyde Warren Park into a community gathering space filled with Halloween festivities, including trick-or-treating, costume contests, children’s book giveaways and other family-friendly activities.

The celebration concluded with an outdoor movie screening, giving families an opportunity to enjoy a Halloween-themed evening together in the heart of Dallas.

The annual event provides families with a free way to celebrate Halloween while bringing residents together in one of downtown Dallas’ most recognizable public spaces.

Klyde Warren Park, located above the Woodall Rodgers Freeway, regularly hosts community programming designed to make downtown accessible to residents and visitors. Events such as Trick-or-Treating in the Park combine entertainment with opportunities for families to connect through shared experiences.

The sixth annual celebration continued that tradition, drawing thousands of attendees for an evening centered on costumes, candy, children’s activities and community engagement.

TXAN 24 News will continue covering community events and initiatives across North Texas.
