MIAMI, Florida (TXAN 24) — Tribeca Festival is stepping back into the Art Basel Miami Beach spotlight this December, marking its fourth year of programming at one of the world’s biggest art gatherings. The two-night showcase will take place December 5–6 at the Miami Beach Bandshell, presented by Google Gemini, and will highlight trailblazing artists shaping today’s cultural landscape.
The weekend kicks off Friday, Dec. 5, with Bogotá-based, Latin Grammy-nominated group Monsieur Periné, known for blending Latin swing, pop, and global rhythms. EarCandy artist Cucu will open the night. On Saturday, Dec. 6, instrumental duo Hermanos Gutiérrez brings their cinematic, guitar-driven sound to the stage, joined by opener Jitwam and house DJ Willy Soul. Tribeca says additional performers will be announced soon.
Tickets went on sale at 11 a.m. ET on Nov. 7 at tribecafilm.com/miami.
Tribeca is also teaming up with ESPN for an invitation-only preview of two new short films focused on sports and the Latino community. Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Rudy Valdez will moderate a conversation with the directors.
“Tribeca was founded on the belief that storytelling connects communities,” said Vincent Cassous, Tribeca’s Head of Music Programming. “At Art Basel Miami Beach, we’re celebrating the emerging artists and musicians reshaping the cultural landscape.”
The collaboration with Art Basel Miami Beach — running Dec. 5–7 at the Miami Beach Convention Center — has grown into a signature December event, previously featuring guests like Robert De Niro, Camila Cabello, Chance the Rapper, and Flying Lotus.
This year’s festival also features the Google Gemini Photobooth, an AI-powered installation blending classic photo booth style with Google’s new image-editing model, Nano Banana. After its Miami debut, the photobooth will tour universities and live events nationwide.
