Three Jacksonville Teens Arrested After Palestine Chase, Gun Shop Burglary Investigation

PALESTINE, Texas (TXAN 24) — Three 16-year-old Jacksonville residents were arrested following a vehicle and foot chase in Palestine Sunday morning, according to the Palestine Police Department.


Officers spotted a vehicle reported stolen out of Jacksonville near E. Spring and N. Sycamore streets shortly after 9 a.m.


The driver fled before crashing on N. Church Street, where all three suspects ran away on foot.


Two were arrested nearby, while the third was taken into custody Monday.


Officers recovered items stolen from a local gun shop and a firearm stolen out of Houston inside the vehicle.


The teens face multiple felony charges as the investigation continues.
