TYLER, Texas (TXAN 24) — A new national analysis highlights a growing divide between NFL stadiums, and Texas appears to be on the right side of it.

According to The Action Network’s Super Bowl Stadium Experience Index, Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers, ranks No. 5 overall for worst game-day value in the NFL. The ranking isn’t driven by unhappy fans, but by cost.

Levi’s Stadium carries the highest average ticket price in the league at roughly $161, pushing total fan spending beyond $240 once parking and basic concessions are included. Despite a mid-pack Disappointment Score of 26.18, the stadium’s Value Score of 63.96 makes it one of the most expensive NFL experiences.

By comparison, Texas NFL venues continue to offer stronger value for fans.

AT&T Stadium in Arlington and NRG Stadium in Houston avoid the bottom tier of the rankings, benefitting from lower average ticket prices and more balanced fan satisfaction. While neither venue is considered cheap, Texas stadiums avoid the extreme price inflation seen in newer, high-profile venues like SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, and Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

The study shows a clear trend: newer NFL stadiums are increasingly skewing toward premium pricing, while traditional football markets, including Texas, remain more accessible.

For Texas fans, the takeaway is simple: the NFL experience at home still delivers better value than many of the league’s flashiest new venues.
