TCU Falls to North Carolina 15-10 in Season Opener in Dublin

DUBLIN, Ireland (TXAN 24) — The TCU Horned Frogs opened the 2026 college football season with a disappointing 15-10 loss to North Carolina on Saturday at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.

TCU jumped out to a 10-3 lead late in the first half, but the Horned Frogs’ offense was shut down the rest of the afternoon. North Carolina held TCU scoreless for the final 49 minutes, turning a defensive battle into a season-opening victory.

The Tar Heels tied the game at 10-10 before taking the lead on a safety in the second quarter. North Carolina added a third-quarter field goal to make it 15-10, and its defense did the rest.
