FRISCO, Texas (TXAN 24) — East Texas A&M guard Reza Po has been named the Southland Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week after leading the Lions to a perfect 2–0 stretch in league play.

Po powered East Texas A&M to home wins over Nicholls and New Orleans, averaging 28.5 points per game across the two contests. Her standout performance came Thursday night against New Orleans, where she poured in a season-high 33 points — the most by any Southland Conference player this season and the highest scoring output by a Lion since 2020.

She followed that effort with 24 points on Saturday, helping fuel a come-from-behind victory over Nicholls to secure the Lions’ first undefeated conference week of the season.
