PHOTOS: Carthage wins 10th State Championship 28-14 over Waco La Vega

ARLINGTON, Texas (TXAN 24) -- Carthage clinched the victory with a final score of 28-14. The Bulldogs dominated on offense, racking up 305 yards, led by KJ Edwards with almost 200 rushing yards. Defensively, Carthage held strong, allowing only 208 total yards and forcing a turnover as well. Daquives Beck was a standout, recording 10 tackles and a sack. The win marks Carthage’s 10th championship under Coach Surratt, solidifying his position as one of the top coaches in East Texas history.
