DALLAS, Texas (TXAN 24) — A major investment in North Texas’ luxury auto market is officially underway.
Park Place Dealerships broke ground Friday morning on a new state-of-the-art Porsche dealership and an expanded Volvo Cars facility along Lemmon Avenue.
The multi-million-dollar project will transform 15 acres at Lemmon and Inwood, property Park Place purchased in December 2024. Plans call for a new Porsche dealership expected to open in 2027, along with a dedicated Volvo service center adjacent to the existing showroom. The current Park Place Porsche location operates out of a 23,000-square-foot facility on Lemmon Avenue.

Remarks during Friday’s groundbreaking were delivered by Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Jesse Moreno, Steve Klipstein of Volvo, and Dave Kurtz of Porsche, along with additional project partners. Speakers highlighted continued growth in the Dallas-Fort Worth luxury vehicle market and the long-term investment being made in the area.
The site has already been cleared, with construction equipment staged behind a ceremonial berm of dirt as executives turned shovels to mark the start of development. Porsches and Volvos lined the property as a backdrop for photos and interviews.

Park Place operates nine full-service dealerships across DFW, along with three collision centers and an auto auction. Construction on the new facilities is expected to continue through 2027.
