DALLAS, Texas (TXAN 24) - With Micah Parsons now out of Dallas, the Cowboys may have already found their answer on defense — and he’s been right under their nose. Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown is targeting a return for the November 17th matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, a game that could mark the turning point of the Cowboys’ season.

The Cowboys enter midseason with the NFL’s top-ranked offense, but defensively, the absence of Parsons left a noticeable gap in energy and edge presence. Overshown, a former Texas Longhorn and East Texas native, has been recovering from injury and is eager to prove he can step into that leadership role.

His speed, instincts, and versatility give Dallas the type of weapon that could keep them from pursuing star pass rushers like Maxx Crosby — who, coincidentally, will be lining up on the other sideline when the Cowboys travel to Las Vegas.

If Overshown returns at full strength, November 17th could be more than just another regular-season game — it could be the moment the Cowboys’ defense reestablishes its identity and their Super Bowl hopes come back into focus.
