Apple TV+’s The Dynasty: UConn Huskies, Episode 2 Review

DALLAS, Texas (TXAN 24) — Episode 2 of The Dynasty: UConn Huskies successfully follows the formula established in the first episode while expanding the story through archival footage and compelling interviews. Rather than simply repeating what worked previously, the episode continues building the history of the program and the people responsible for its success.

The interviews remain one of the documentary’s biggest strengths. The subjects provide personal insight that makes the historical story feel immediate and human. The archival footage reinforces those interviews, allowing viewers to see the moments being discussed rather than simply hearing about them.

The episode also demonstrates strong control of its storytelling structure. The beginning establishes the subject, the middle develops the history and conflict, and the story continues to build toward its larger significance.

One area that could be improved is pacing in portions of the episode. Some sections feel as though they could move slightly faster, particularly when compared with the energy of the first episode. However, the slower moments do not significantly damage the overall experience.

The visual style remains consistent with the first installment, which helps the series feel cohesive.

Episode 2 maintains the series’ high standard, using archival footage and interviews effectively while continuing to develop the larger UConn story.
