ROCKWALL, Texas (TXAN 24) — A new Heisman Hopefuls platform is giving college football fans a larger role in the Heisman Trophy conversation.

The platform combines player statistics, EA Sports College Football player ratings, storytelling and fan voting, allowing fans to cast what organizers describe as the first official vote for the Heisman Trophy.

The initiative is designed to broaden the discussion around the sport’s most prestigious individual award while giving fans an opportunity to weigh in throughout the season.

The traditional Heisman voting process is primarily made up of college football media members and former Heisman winners, with the fan vote historically counted as one additional ballot.

The new platform puts that fan voice at the center of the Heisman conversation as the 2026 college football season approaches.
