Nala’s Story: From the Woods to Waiting

Sweet Nala was once living alone in the woods, and no one knows for how long. Though she survived, her past left her shy, scared, and unsure of people. She was recently returned to Nicholas Pet Haven, not because she did anything wrong, but because she’s still learning to trust. The shelter environment is tough on dogs like Nala. It’s loud, busy, and overwhelming, making it nearly impossible for her to make progress.

But behind her timid nature is a beautiful, gentle spirit. Nala loves all other animals and would likely thrive in a home with another dog to help guide and comfort her. She needs someone patient, experienced with shy or insecure dogs, and ready to offer the quiet love she’s never had.
