Lion Athletics Spring Fest Set for Full Day of Competition and Fan Events

COMMERCE, Texas (TXAN 24) — East Texas A&M University Athletics is set to host its annual Spring Fest on Saturday, featuring a full slate of games, fan activities, and community events across multiple venues.

The day begins at 10:00 a.m. with Lion volleyball taking on UTA at the Field House, followed by softball hosting HCU at 12:00 p.m. at the Cain Family Softball Complex. Volleyball returns to action at 1:30 p.m. against Louisiana Tech, leading into the main football showcase scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.

Fans can participate in a tailgate experience in Lot 2 from 1:00–4:00 p.m., offering food, activities, and pregame engagement. Following the football showcase, attendees are invited to an ice cream social featuring student-athletes from all 14 Lion programs.

Spring Fest will also include a Bookstore pop-up on the west concourse of Memorial Stadium, offering a buy-one-get-one 50% off merchandise promotion during the showcase window.

Athletics officials note that all events remain on schedule, with contingency plans in place in the event of inclement weather. Updates will be distributed through official athletics platforms if changes occur.

Admission to Spring Fest events is free and open to the public.
