TYLER, Texas (TXAN 24) – A newly released Tyler Police Department body camera video adds another layer to the ongoing dispute between Marlondos Fields and Whitehouse ISD over access to his son at Mozelle Brown Elementary.
In the footage, Fields is heard explaining his concerns to a Tyler PD officer, saying he’s “just trying to pick up [his] son.” The officer acknowledged that Whitehouse ISD had discussed a possible criminal trespass warning, but clarified that Fields was not trespassed at the time of the recording.
Fields expressed frustration, telling the officer that while Tyler PD showed compassion, Whitehouse ISD “might try to trespass [him] again for no reason.” That prediction soon became reality — the district later issued another trespass order against him, despite the officer’s statements caught on camera.
The release of the video is fueling renewed questions about how the district is handling parental grievances, with Fields saying the repeated warnings have disrupted his work and family
