Jesi: A Patient Soul Still Waiting for Her Forever Family

TYLER, Texas (TXAN 24) — Every Thursday, TXAN partners with Nicholas Pet Haven to spotlight one incredible animal in search of a forever home. This week, we’re honored to introduce you to Jesi, a loving gentle girl.

For over a year, Jesi has watched countless dogs come and go from the shelter, including all of her own puppies. A 3-year-old Black Mouth Cur and Lab mix, Jesi came in pregnant and gave birth in the safety of the shelter. Her puppies were quickly adopted, but Jesi remains behind, waiting.

Quietly.

Patiently.

Lovingly.

Jesi is a calm and gentle girl. She isn’t one to demand attention, but she’ll gladly accept it when offered, leaning into pets, curling up beside you, and just being there. She’s affectionate in the softest, most loyal way.

She’s fully vetted, obedient, and walks beautifully both on and off a leash. Jesi has been socialized with other dogs, but she tends to stay to herself, choosing peace over play. She gets along well with other animals and would thrive in a calm home where she can simply be someone’s shadow, a quiet presence full of love.

This sweet mama has given everything. Now, it’s her turn.
