Houston Baseball Unveils 2026 Schedule, 29 Home Games Highlighted by Nine-Game Stand

HOUSTON, Texas (TXAN 24) — The Houston Cougars are ready to hit the diamond in 2026 with a packed schedule, including matchups against every Power Conference team and a 2025 College World Series contender. The season kicks off with four games in Puerto Rico in the 2026 Puerto Rico Challenge before Opening Day at Darryl and Lori Schroeder Park on Feb. 20 vs. UTRGV.

Houston will host a nine-game home stretch in March, including Big 12 matchups against Kansas State and Baylor, plus games against Rice, Arkansas Pine Bluff, and Louisiana. The Cougars’ season features 13 road games in April, traveling to Texas A&M, TCU, West Virginia, Sam Houston, and more, before closing May with Big 12 series against Cincinnati and Arizona, plus Senior Weekend vs. Arizona State.
