LONGVIEW, Texas (TXAN 24) — The Gregg County Fair is returning to Longview this week, bringing nine days of carnival rides, entertainment, vendors and family activities to East Texas.

The 77th annual Gregg County Fair is scheduled for September 11-19, 2026, at the Gregg County Fairgrounds and Longview Exhibit Center at 1123 Jaycee Drive.

The fair traces its roots to 1949, when it was started by the local Jaycees. More than seven decades later, the event continues to draw families and visitors from Gregg County and surrounding East Texas communities.

Organizers say attractions include carnival rides, games, shopping, local artisans, vendors and a petting zoo, with different entertainment, contests and promotions scheduled throughout the fair.

General admission is $8 per person. Children age 3 and younger, senior citizens age 60 and older, and military members and their families can enter free with proper identification. Ride armbands and individual ride coupons will also be available each day.

The Gregg County Fair is organized in connection with the Longview Jaycees and continues to serve as one of the area’s longstanding annual community traditions.

For the latest schedule, daily promotions and entertainment information, visitors can check the Gregg County Fair official website.
