NACOGDOCHES, Texas (TXAN 24) - The SFA Lady Lumberjacks closed out their regular season in commanding fashion, securing a decisive win over Nicholls to extend their winning streak to 12 games.
From the opening tip, SFA controlled the pace, holding Nicholls to just three points in the first quarter and never looking back.
Faith Blackstone led the scoring effort with 17 points, with several other players contributing to a balanced offensive attack.
The Lady Jacks’ defense set the tone early, and despite a brief mid-game surge from Nicholls, SFA maintained full control throughout the game.
With the win, SFA finished the regular season with an impressive 26-5 record and now turns its attention to the postseason.
Their final seeding depends on the results from Lamar University’s matchups, but regardless, the Lady Lumberjacks enter the tournament as one of the hottest teams in the conference.
