EL PASO, Texas (TXAN 24) — The Round Rock Express dropped their fifth straight game Tuesday night, falling 10-7 to the El Paso Chihuahuas at Southwest University Ballpark.

El Paso jumped out early with two runs in the first inning before erupting for four more in the third. An inside-the-park home run from Jase Bowen highlighted the frame as the Chihuahuas built a 6-0 lead.

Round Rock answered with a huge five-run fourth inning to climb back into the game. RBI hits from Nick Pratto, Jonah Bride and Trevor Hauver helped spark the rally, trimming the deficit to 6-5.

The Chihuahuas responded with two runs in the bottom of the fourth, but the Express continued to battle. Aaron Zavala tripled home a run in the sixth to make it an 8-7 game before El Paso added two insurance runs later in the inning.

Round Rock finished with nine hits and saw offensive production from six different players. Hauver led the way with two RBIs, while Cam Cauley, Bride, Zavala, Pratto and Gilberto Celestino each drove in a run.

The Express bullpen trio of Ryan Brasier, Alexis Díaz and Emiliano Teodo combined for 2.2 scoreless innings in relief.

Round Rock now sits at 16-30 on the season and will look to snap the skid Wednesday afternoon in El Paso.
