AUSTIN, Texas (TXAN 24) - On Sunday night, Austin, Texas and the University of Texas' Moody Center played host to the Dallas Wings and the Las Vegas Aces who squared off in a preseason exhibition. The WNBA received a warm welcome from the locals in Austin, as the lined up outside the arena several hours prior to tip-off with about an equal turnout for both ball clubs.


This game featured some of the hottest names in the association with Paige Bueckers. Azzi Fudd and A'ja Wilson all sharing the court simultaneously.

The Dallas Wings jumped out to a 22-12 start over the Las Vegas Aces in the first minutes of the game capitalizing on open shots from beyond the arc and playing unselfishly. The two young stars of Fudd and Bueckers showed why they were top picks as they continued to knock down threes to keep the Las Vegas Aces at bay.

The Wings held that double digits lead for almost the entirety of the first half in front of a nearly sold out crowd at Moody Center.

The Wings were able to frustrate and control A’ja Wilson as they cruised to a 101-84 win on Sunday.
