FRISCO, Texas (TXAN 24) — The Dallas PULSE are adding size and elite production to the middle.

North Texas’ women’s professional volleyball team announced the acquisition of standout middle blocker Carter Booth, a two-time AVCA All-American with a dominant collegiate résumé.

At 6-foot-7, Booth made an immediate impact at University of Minnesota in 2022, setting a freshman program record with 11 blocks in her debut and averaging 1.48 blocks per set. Her performance earned AVCA North Region Freshman of the Year honors before transferring to University of Wisconsin.

With the Badgers from 2023 to 2025, Booth led the team in blocks every season. As a sophomore, she topped both Wisconsin and the Big Ten with 1.56 blocks per set, setting program records in the rally-scoring era with 186 total blocks. She capped her college career with a .466 hitting percentage — the best single-season mark in program history.

A native of Denver, Booth was selected 19th overall in the 2025 Major League Volleyball Draft by Dallas and began her pro career overseas with Unione Yamamay Busto Arsizio in Italy’s top league.

She is the daughter of former NBA veteran and executive Calvin Booth, part of the Denver Nuggets front office during the franchise’s 2023 championship run.

Booth will wear No. 52 as she joins a growing Dallas PULSE roster aiming to make an early statement.
