ATLANTA, Georgia (TXAN 24) — The Dallas Pulse picked up a milestone win Thursday night, securing the franchise’s first-ever road victory with a hard-fought 3-2 triumph over the Atlanta Vibe at Gas South Arena.

Dallas (2-1) outlasted Atlanta (2-3) in five sets, 20-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-20, 15-9, showcasing resilience and late-match composure in a back-and-forth contest.

Outside hitter Mimi Colyer, the first overall pick in the Major League Volleyball Draft, led all players with 24 kills on 58 swings, finishing with 26 total points. Sofia Maldonado Diaz added 17 kills, while middle blockers Tristin Savage and Layne Van Buskirk continued their strong start to the season, combining for 13 kills. Dallas recorded 12 total blocks, marking its third consecutive match with double-digit blocks.

Atlanta controlled much of the opening set behind outside hitter Leah Edmond, who finished with a team-high 20 kills and 13 digs. The Vibe also received a strong performance from opposite hitter Aiko Jones, who totaled 15 kills and nine digs.

After trading sets through four frames, the decisive fifth set saw Dallas erase multiple early deficits before taking control late. With Kaylee Cox serving during a key run, the Pulse closed the match on an emphatic stretch to secure the 15-9 win.

Dallas will continue its road trip Sunday with a 2 p.m. CT matchup against the Orlando Valkyries. The Pulse returns home February 5 to host the Omaha Supernovas at Comerica Center in Frisco.
