STATEMENT: We are aware of allegations made by a former employee that are being shared online regarding resident care, medication, and oversight concerns. We acknowledge the seriousness of these allegations and the concern and distress they may cause. We truly care about the care and concerns of our residents, their families and our staff and we are committed to transparency as we do not take these allegations lightly.
Our internal investigation did not reveal any evidence to support these allegations, including the allegation of retaliation against staff who raise concerns. The former employee referenced in the original story departed for reasons unrelated to any concerns raised.
Facility Inspection History and Results:
Since its acquisition on February 29, 2024, this facility has had a very good relationship with Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC). A HHSC inspection was completed in April 2025 with no citations issued, deficiencies cited or license violations cited. All other post-April 2025 HHSC investigations have been found to be unsubstantiated and no citations were issued. We will be proactively self-reporting these current allegations to HHSC for them to investigate directly.
Commitment to Care:
CP Senior Living, which owns and operates the Countryside Senior Living of Jacksonville is dedicated to the health and well-being of our residents as our number one goal. We continuously review our internal practices to ensure the quality of care being provided to our residents is exceptional and that those who care for our seniors are properly trained and assigned based on that training. We are here to listen and support our residents, resident families and all staff and we welcome direct feedback as well as any questions.
Please feel free to reach out to Sean Broadbent (sbroadbent@cpsl.net) from our corporate office if you have further concerns or questions as your peace of mind is very important to us.
