Chevron Refinery Reports Oil Spill in Pasadena

PASADENA, Texas (TXAN 24) — A crude oil spill was reported Wednesday at a Chevron refinery in Pasadena after a release from a storage tank at the facility’s Red Bluff Tank Farm.

Officials say the spill was quickly contained on-site, and cleanup crews were deployed immediately. No injuries have been reported, and there is no evidence of off-site environmental impact at this time.

The refinery remains operational while crews continue cleanup and assess the cause of the incident. Chevron has not yet released a full estimate of the spill volume.
