Bullard Resident Arrested on Multiple Charges

BULLARD, Texas (TXAN 24) — The Bullard Police Department announced the arrest of Dylan James Black, a Bullard resident, on Monday, January 13, 2025. Black faces charges stemming from two separate investigations, including Sexual Assault of a Child, Harboring a Runaway Child, Enticing a Child, and False Report to a Peace Officer. The charges range from misdemeanors to second-degree felonies, with bond amounts totaling $175,000.
The first investigation began after a report was filed alleging Black’s involvement in the sexual assault of a child. Following a review of the evidence, Bullard Municipal Court Judge Frank Dobrovolony signed the arrest warrant. This case has been forwarded to the Cherokee County District Attorney’s Office.
A separate report led to an additional investigation that uncovered further charges against Black. These charges were filed in Smith County and approved by Law Judge Jason Ellis.
Black was arrested without incident and transported to the Cherokee County Jail.
