TYLER, Texas (TXAN 24) — A high-profile demonstration is set for Wednesday, May 21st at noon outside the Tyler Police Department, led by Dr. Candice Matthews and Minister Quanell X.

The rally, themed around demanding “Answers and Accountability — or else,” is expected to call out alleged corruption, cover-ups, and institutional silence within local government and law enforcement.

Dr. Matthews, known for her bold presence and advocacy for justice, will be joined by long-time activist Minister Quanell X. The two leaders plan to address the public from 711 W. Ferguson St., urging transparency from city officials.
