TEXAS (TXAN 24) — Three Texas public schools stand at the top of Texas Education Agency’s accountability data, posting scores of 100, 99 and 98.
Patton Springs ISD: Located in Dickens County, part of Region 1—Lubbock, leads the list with a perfect 100. It is a traditional public independent school district serving a rural West Texas community.
Chaparral Star Academy: Located in Austin and part of Region 13, ranks second with a 99 in the dataset. It is an open-enrollment public charter school serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Westlake Academy Charter School: Located in Westlake, part of Region 11, Fort Worth, ranks third with a 98. It is a municipally operated public charter school serving K-12 students and is an International Baccalaureate World School.
