3 Overton Standouts Named to UIL Baseball State All-Tournament Team

OVERTON, Texas (TXAN 24) — Overton High School had a strong showing at the UIL Baseball State Tournament, with three of its athletes earning spots on the prestigious All-Tournament Team. The recognition reflects not only their talent but also their critical contributions during the postseason.
Rylan Holleman, a junior catcher, anchored the defense and played a key role behind the plate. His leadership and ability to control the game defensively helped guide Overton’s pitching staff through high-pressure moments.
In the outfield, Jayden Edwards, a senior, showcased both his defensive range and ability to make clutch plays in big moments. His presence in the outfield was a major asset throughout the tournament.
Bryson Bobbitt, a senior second baseman, rounded out the trio with consistent infield play and timely offense. His leadership and hustle made him a cornerstone of Overton’s postseason run.
These three athletes represented Overton with pride and proved they belong among the state’s elite. Congratulations to Rylan, Jayden, and Bryson on a well-deserved honor.
