Unrivaled To Bring Professional Women’s Basketball Back To Houston At Toyota Center

HOUSTON, Texas (TXAN 24) — Professional women’s basketball is returning to Houston. Unrivaled announced Monday that the league will play its first-ever games in Houston at Toyota Center on Feb. 12, 2027, as part of an expanded touring model for its third season.

The event, titled “Houston is Unrivaled,” will tip off at 6:30 p.m. CT and will be simulcast on TNT, truTV and HBO Max. The participating clubs will be announced at a later date.

Tickets go on sale Monday at 4 p.m. CT through AXS and Unrivaled’s website, with newsletter subscribers receiving an exclusive presale beginning at 3 p.m.

Houston was selected as the sixth city announced for “Unrivaled on Tour with Ally,” a month-long bus tour designed to connect the league with fans in its Season Three markets.

The Houston stop marks the return of professional women’s basketball to the city after nearly 20 years. Houston previously was home to the WNBA’s Comets, who won four consecutive league championships from 1997 through 2000.

“Few cities can match Houston’s legacy in women’s basketball,” Houston Rockets, Comets and Toyota Center President Gretchen Sheirr said.

Unrivaled was founded by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier and launched in 2025 with an athlete-focused ownership model and 3-on-3 full-court format.

The complete Season Three schedule will be announced this fall.
