TYLER, Texas — In an effort to retain East Texas talent and elevate student-athlete opportunities, Texas College Football has introduced an innovative Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) package for the 2025–26 season.
This groundbreaking deal, valued between $20,000 and $50,000, was created and negotiated by Donovan Bridgeforth, who worked with Texas College Football staff to design a program that supports student-athletes while fostering connections with local businesses.
The NIL package emphasizes restaurant and retail partnerships, where players receive free meals and products in exchange for promotional efforts.
Additionally, an exciting player trading card initiative will allow athletes to earn 30% of all sales, giving them a direct stake in the program’s success while creating a unique way for fans to engage with their favorite players.
Game day experiences are also a central focus of the initiative, offering pre-game, halftime, and post-game coverage as well as vendor booth opportunities. These elements aim to enhance the fan experience while directing proceeds toward Texas College Football’s NIL efforts.
A key media element includes weekly appearances by players, coaches, or staff on The East Texas Football Show, further connecting Texas College athletes to the community and expanding their platforms.
“This partnership reflects a commitment to both our athletes and the East Texas community,” said Donovan Bridgeforth. “By aligning the goals of student-athletes with the support of local businesses, we’re creating a system that benefits everyone involved.”
This package sets a powerful precedent for the future of NIL initiatives in East Texas, reinforcing Texas College’s dedication to empowering its athletes and strengthening community ties.
