RGV Vipers Acquire Returning Rights To Alex Fudge


EDINBURG, Texas (TXAN 24) — The Rio Grande Valley Vipers have acquired the returning rights to forward Alex Fudge from the Stockton Kings as part of a three-team trade also involving the Long Island Nets.
The Vipers will send the returning rights to Kacper Klaczek to Stockton and Jonathan Pierre to Long Island. Stockton will also receive the returning rights to David Muoka from Long Island. The trade is not subject to a physical.
Fudge, 24, most recently played for the Ottawa BlackJacks of the Canadian Elite Basketball League, averaging 9.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.7 blocks in 34 games.
The 6-foot-8, 200-pound Florida native spent the 2025 season with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, averaging 7.1 points and 3.6 rebounds in 41 games. He previously played 15 games for the South Bay Lakers during the 2024-25 season.
Fudge began his professional career in 2023 after signing a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. He later signed a two-way contract with the Dallas Mavericks and averaged 8.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks across 33 games between the two organizations.
At the collegiate level, Fudge played for Florida and LSU before entering the 2023 NBA Draft.
The Vipers are the NBA G League affiliate of the Houston Rockets and are four-time G League champions, winning titles in 2010, 2013, 2019 and 2022.
