Overton’s Chris Cook Named New Head Baseball Coach at Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Texas – The Jacksonville Indians have found their new baseball coach — and he’s coming from just down the road.

Chris Cook, who led the Overton Mustangs baseball program in recent seasons, has officially been named the next coach for Jacksonville High School. Cook brings with him a reputation for discipline, fundamentals, and player development that helped Overton stay competitive in a tough district.

Cook is expected to bring a fresh approach to a program looking to re-establish itself in East Texas baseball circles.
