Lion Football Finalizes 2026 Home Slate, Announces Kickoff Times and Ticket Details

COMMERCE, Texas (TXAN 24) — East Texas A&M University football has locked in its 2026 home schedule, unveiling kickoff times and season ticket information ahead of the upcoming campaign.

The Lions will host five games at Ernest Hawkins Field at Memorial Stadium, including four Southland Conference matchups and one non-conference contest.

Season tickets are now on sale, with renewals underway for 2025 ticket holders. Single-game tickets are set to go on sale June 15.

The home opener is scheduled for September 12 against Northwestern State Demons during Family Weekend, kicking off at 6 p.m. The Lions open October at home with a Homecoming matchup against UTRGV Vaqueros on October 3, also set for 6 p.m.

Non-conference play wraps up October 24 when Prairie View A&M Panthers visit Commerce for the first time, with kickoff again slated for 6 p.m.

A Halloween showdown follows on October 31, as Southeastern Louisiana Lions — an FCS playoff team last season — comes to town for a 3 p.m. start.

The regular season home finale is set for November 21 against UIW Cardinals at 3 p.m.

The full 2026 schedule is expected to be released in the coming weeks, with fans getting an early look at the team during Spring Fest events this weekend.
