AUSTIN, Texas (TXAN 24) — Following the devastating July 4th flooding across the Hill Country, state lawmakers have scheduled two public hearings in Kerrville to begin shaping Texas’ long-term flood recovery response.
The bipartisan committee will meet on July 23 and again on July 31 to discuss infrastructure funding, emergency preparedness, and long-term planning.
Leaders say the goal is to present a package of legislative solutions by the end of the year that addresses the growing risk of severe weather across the state.
