LAW ENFORCEMENT SERIES: Officer Fernando Nino

PALESTINE, Texas (TXAN 24) — Officer Fernando Nino is a native of South Texas and a military veteran having served in the United States Army for five and a half years.

He holds a Master Peace Officer's license and has been a certified peace officer for fourteen years.

He is also certified as a Crime Prevention Specialist and specializes in crime prevention, offering tips to strengthen security for a home or business.

Officer Nino is also A.R.I.D.E certified, or Advanced Roadside Impairment Driving Enforcement, and has made several D.W.I. arrests.

Officer Nino currently serves as the Palestine Police Department's Community Liaison and is responsible for assisting the citizens in educating for crime prevention or general law enforcement inquires.
