TYLER, Texas (TXAN 24) — Registration officially opened Tuesday for the LA28 Olympic Games ticket draw, marking the first step for fans hoping to attend the 2028 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in Los Angeles.

Beginning January 14 at 10 a.m. ET (7 a.m. PT), fans worldwide can register at Tickets.LA28.org for a chance to receive a time slot to purchase tickets. Registration remains open through March 18, 2026, with the first ticket purchasing window, known as Drop 1, scheduled for April 9–19, 2026. Registrants will be notified between March 31 and April 7 if they are selected for a purchase window.

LA28 officials emphasized that registration is required for anyone seeking tickets to any Olympic sport, including Opening and Closing Ceremonies, which will be available during the first drop. Tickets will start at $28, with at least one million tickets priced at $28 and roughly one-third of all tickets under $100.

On the eve of registration opening, LA28 hosted more than 300 Olympians and Paralympians at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, one of the largest gatherings of Olympic and Paralympic athletes outside of competition, signaling the official start of the athlete and fan journey to 2028.

A special LA & Oklahoma Locals Presale will run April 2–6, offering early access to residents in select Southern California and Oklahoma counties.

The LA28 Games will feature more than 15,000 athletes, make history with more women competitors than men, and become the first Olympics since 1948 to build no new permanent venues.

Registration is free, and fans only need to sign up once to remain eligible for future ticket drops.
