TYLER, Texas (TXAN 24) — The Smith County Sheriff’s Office has identified the two men killed in a double shooting early Sunday morning in Tyler.

Authorities say the victims are 32-year-old Keundas Jamoure Sanford of Tyler and 24-year-old Keion Dwayne Redd of Jacksonville.

Deputies were called around 1:45 a.m. to Club Exotic on Highway 64 West following reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found both men suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman was also found with a gunshot wound to the leg. According to investigators, she was inside the club when she was struck by gunfire that came through a wall. Deputies provided emergency aid before she was transported to a hospital.

Authorities later learned a second woman had also been shot in the leg and was taken to a hospital in a personal vehicle prior to deputies arriving. She was last reported to be undergoing surgery for non-life-threatening injuries.

Smith County Sheriff Larry Smith said the shooting is believed to be “100% gang-related,” though neither of the victims are known to have gang affiliations. Investigators believe one of the men may have simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time.
