Freestone County Man Fights For Freedom As New Evidence Raises Questions In Criminal Case
FREESTONE COUNTY, Texas (TXAN 24) — A Freestone County man is fighting to clear his name and regain his freedom, alleging that new evidence in his case has been ignored by the District Attorney’s Office.
TXAN 24 News has obtained audio recordings in which the man’s attorney discusses the possibility that his client may have been under duress when entering a plea deal.
Additionally, new evidence submitted by the party of the alleged victim reportedly claims a crime was ever committed.
TXAN 24 News’ Watchdog Division has been conducting an initial investigation into the case, examining the claims, available evidence, and questions surrounding the legal proceedings.
