FRISCO, Texas (TXAN 24) — FC Dallas opened their MLS campaign with a statement win, defeating Toronto FC 3-2 in a back-and-forth battle.
Dallas struck early when Petar Musa found the net in the 9th minute, setting the tone for an aggressive first half. Toronto answered in the 15th minute behind Dejan Mihailovic, leveling the match and quieting the early momentum.

The breakthrough came again for Dallas in the 38th minute as Logan Farrington delivered to give the home side a 2-1 advantage heading into halftime.
Toronto refused to go away. Derrick Etienne Jr. equalized in the 67th minute, forcing Dallas to respond in crunch time.

Musa delivered once more.
The forward secured his brace in the 74th minute, putting Dallas back in front for good. From there, the defense held firm down the stretch to preserve the 3-2 victory.

The win gives Dallas early momentum in the MLS season and showcased an attack capable of answering every challenge. If this opener is any indication, Toyota Stadium could see plenty of fireworks this year.
