East Texas A&M Announces Softball Leadership Change

COMMERCE, Texas (TXAN 24) — East Texas A&M University announced a leadership change in its softball program Tuesday, confirming that head coach Brittany Miller will not return for the 2026–27 academic year.
Miller led the Lions for four seasons, overseeing the program through a transitional period for the university and its athletics department.
“I want to extend my deepest appreciation to Coach Miller for her service and leadership of the Lion Softball program during the past four years. We wish her and her family all the best moving forward,” said athletic director Jim Curry in a statement.
The university confirmed that a national search for the program’s next head coach will begin immediately.
No further details were provided regarding the decision or the timeline for hiring Miller’s replacement.
