Buccaneers Run Over Cowboys In Arlington

ARLINGTON, Texas (TXAN 24) — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers leaned on a powerful rushing attack and capitalized on Dallas’ turnovers to take control of Thursday night’s matchup at AT&T Stadium.
Tampa Bay rushed for 241 yards on 39 carries, averaging 6.2 yards per attempt, while finishing with 419 total yards. The Buccaneers controlled possession for 39:21, keeping the Dallas offense off the field for much of the game.
The Cowboys gained 316 yards through the air but struggled to establish a ground game, finishing with just 50 rushing yards on 13 attempts. Dallas also committed three turnovers, including two interceptions and a lost fumble. Tampa Bay did not turn the ball over.
The Buccaneers recorded 24 first downs and converted seven of 13 third-down opportunities. Dallas finished with 20 first downs and converted four of 10 third downs.
Despite averaging 6.7 yards per play compared with Tampa Bay’s 6.4, Dallas could not overcome its turnover problems and lack of rushing production.
The Cowboys were also penalized seven times for 57 yards, while Tampa Bay was flagged 14 times for 92 yards.
The October 8 matchup took place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, putting the spotlight on Dallas’ offensive balance and ball security.
