
TYLER, Texas (TXAN 24) — An East Texas man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of Tayedrian Baker, 25, of Jacksonville last November.
Authorities have taken Londedric Jayquell Taylor Sr., 30, into custody on February 3, 2025, charging him with collision involving death. His bond has been set at $25,000.
The tragic incident occurred on November 27, 2024, when Baker was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle on Austin Street around 9 p.m. The driver fled the scene, leaving Baker fatally injured.
While investigators have not yet disclosed details of the evidence linking Taylor to the crime, the arrest marks a significant step toward justice for Baker’s grieving family.
In the wake of the tragedy, Baker’s family has found solace in knowing his organ donations saved six lives, a lasting testament to his generosity. He would have turned 26 years old on December 2, 2024.
